Hardy's Copse Nature Reserve
Once an overgrown and unused area, it has been carefully restored by our team into a thriving haven for local wildlife. Today, it’s home to a rich variety of native plants and animals, creating the perfect setting for a gentle walk or a quiet moment surrounded by nature.
Wildflowers, shrubs, and trees have been planted to support the diverse species found across the Purbeck and Jurassic Coast. Visitors can often spot butterflies and bees feeding among the blooms, robins and wrens in the trees, badger pathways and hedgehog hideaways in the undergrowth, and bats roosting safely in the boxes provided. Children and adults alike enjoy exploring the bug hotels and discovering more about the smaller residents of the reserve.
Information boards throughout Hardy’s Copse share interesting details about the plants, animals, and conservation work that help this area thrive. Whether you’re taking a peaceful stroll, learning about local wildlife, or simply listening to the birdsong, Hardy’s Copse offers a calm and restorative space for everyone to enjoy.
